Fitzy and Wippa’s ‘Please Marry My Mum’ has landed Margie from Menai a man to take to Daydream Island.
After a week-long search for love that included dating three different guys, Margie’s daughters Sam and Julia decided this morning that it would be Steve from Beacon Hill that takes her away on holiday.

The competition was inspired by Channel 7’s ‘Please Marry My Boy’ which lets the mums pick who their sons date.
Steve said he had to lean against a tree to hold himself up when he got the news he’d been chosen this morning!
“Margie’s a lovely lady, she’s fantastic,” Steve said. “I was quite nervous (on the date) but it was really good.”
Margie’s daughter Julia said Steve was a “really thoughtful guy and he came with a really nice bunch of red roses” which helped get him over the line.

Margie joked that she had hoped to take all three guys away with her, saying there was “a little spark” with all of them.
She said Pete was “sweet”, Shaun was “confident” and Steve was “thoughtful”.
But it was Steve who Margie’s daughters chose, and Margie seemed pleased, just like she was when she found out Steve also loved anchovies.
Fitzy and Wippa said they would check in with the two of them after they get back from their Daydream Island holiday.
