Mike, our groom, is trying to pull off one of the most frightening challenges known to the male species – organise his entire wedding in just one week while locked away in a Bachelor Bubble. Follow the action on Facebook or visit the Bachelor Bubble outside Customs House in Sydney.
Day four was all about the wedding dress. Let’s face it, if Mike’s wants to have a fiancé by the end of this process, he’s got to get the dress right. Henry Roth, from Project Runway Australia, blew us away (again!) with an amazing fashion show of wedding gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses. Nicky Velani also strutted her stuff with two beautiful dresses from her latest collection. Later, Arushie Bridal Couture turned up the heat with two stunning gowns. No bridle show would be complete without something for the men. Thankfully Peppers Formal Wear produced the goods with some rather dapper models strutting some stylish suits down the catwalk.
Mike’s tasks on Friday are to organise the hens and bucks nights, and honeymoon. If you’re a party organiser, venue or travel agent, follow the instructions on Facebook to learn how you can help Mike out.
Channel Nine’s TODAY Show also caught up with Mike in the Bubble – check out the story here.
Mike has just five days (6th -10th December) and $25,000 from Microsoft to put towards organising the entire wedding and honeymoon using only an internet-connected PC loaded with Windows 7, Office 2010 and Windows Live while living in a ‘bachelor bubble’ at Circular Quay. This is really going to test Mike but we reckon anything is possible when you have technology tools that let you create, connect and share with virtually anyone from virtually anywhere – including the Bachelor Bubble.
Each day, Mike’s given a set of tasks to complete and he’ll only have that day to complete them (this is starting to sound tough!) Wedding suppliers will be able to help him out by submitting proposals and advice through Mike’s online Windows Live SkyDrive.
Follow the action on Facebook where you can get involved in the conversation, check out the ‘Marry Me’ tab for daily videos and updates and influence Mike’s decisions through the daily poll. You can also visit the Bachelor Bubble outside Customs House at Circular Quay in Sydney.
Tune into Nova this week to hear interviews with the groom and live crosses from the Bachelor Bubble. On Friday Nova will also be broadcasting LIVE from Circular Quay from 6pm to celebrate Mike’s release from the Bachelor Bubble. Let’s just hope he still has a bride!
A bit extra for wedding suppliers
Let’s face it, to succeed Mike’s going to need a lot of help from wedding suppliers. Each weekday, Mike will be given a set of unique tasks that he must complete that day. On Friday he’ll be looking for help from party organisers, venues and travel agents. You can find out how to submit a proposal by visiting the Facebook page.
