Mel B returns for X Factor auditions after getting booed on her first day

Her former bandmate Geri Halliwell has also had a guest spot judging on the show and didn’t exactly prove a hit with the crowds, and it sounds as though Mel was equally as popular.

Apparently the audience booed Mel after she criticised an 80-year-old man’s performance.

"I wanted to fall asleep," said Scary Spice, causing all and sundry to jeer at her.

Ginger Spice also got booed when she was on the panel because she made a jibe about Take That’s singing abilities a subject which, as we all know, she’s not really in a position to be commenting on.
