Can Mike, our groom, pull off one of the most frightening challenges known to the male species – organise his entire wedding in just one week while locked away in a Bachelor Bubble? Follow the action on Facebook or visit the Bachelor Bubble outside Customs House in Sydney. If you’re a wedding supplier – check out the instructions below on how to submit a proposal.
The “Marry Me Microsoft” challenge kicks off on Monday. If you missed the announcement on the TODAY Show, the winning couple are Mike & Jenny.
Mike will have just five days (6th -10th December) and $25,000 to organise the entire wedding using only an internet-connected PC loaded with Windows 7, Office 2010 and Windows Live while living in a ‘bachelor bubble’ at Circular Quay. This is really going to test Mike but we reckon anything is possible when you have technology tools that let you create, connect and share with virtually anyone from virtually anywhere – including the Bachelor Bubble.
Each day, Mike will be given a set of tasks to complete and he’ll only have that day to complete them (this is starting to sound tough!) Wedding suppliers will be able to help him out by submitting proposals and advice through Mike’s online SkyDrive in Windows Live (see more on this below).
Follow the action on Facebook where you can get involved in the conversation, check out the ‘Marry Me’ tab for daily videos and updates and influence Mike’s decisions through the daily poll. You can also visit the Bachelor Bubble outside Customs House at Circular Quay in Sydney.
Tune into Nova next week to hear interviews with the groom and live crosses from the Bachelor Bubble. On Friday Nova will also be broadcasting LIVE from Circular Quay to celebrate Mike’s release from the Bachelor Bubble. Let’s just hope he still has a bride!
Information for wedding suppliers
Let’s face it, to succeed Mike’s going to need a lot of help from wedding suppliers. Each weekday, Mike will be given a set of unique tasks that he must complete that day. For example, on Monday he might have to organise a wedding cake, which means he’ll be looking for wedding cake suppliers to provide him with proposals. You can find out what the daily tasks are and how to submit a proposal to Mike’s SkyDrive by visiting the Facebook page. Daily tasks will also be announced on the TODAY Show and Nova breakfast every morning.
To submit a proposal, visit Mike’s SkyDrive where you need to download the proposal template and follow the instructions. A Live ID is required to access Mike’s SkyDrive. If you don’t have one, follow the prompts to Sign-Up – it’s quick, easy and free. As an added bonus, once you’ve registered for a Live ID you’ll have your own SkyDrive with 25GB of online storage.
