My blog's will often be about stuff we chat about on our show as well as completely random stuff. So I hope you enjoy it and I would love to hear your opinions on the topics I write about on novafm.com.au.
For over a year now I have been eyeing off a handbag that I would make passionate love to if I had the chance. It’s a Marc Jacobs bag and its worth more than my left foot so the odds of me even getting to stroke the baby were slim.
I had been stalking several websites on a daily basis hoping to snatch the goods for a bargain, but it was a vicious battle that ended regularly in frustrated tears (A little dramatic, yes).
Although a real Marc Jacobs bag would make a perfect accessory to perch on my shoulder, I wasn’t even fussy if it was the real McCoy. I would have been more than satisfied with a fake but after endless hours on the hunt I was coming up with nothing. No reals I could afford and no fakes to be found. 14 months on, I finally gave up on my love affair with my dream bag and started to accept that Marc and I would never be mates.
Only 3 weeks after I had put my bag obsession to rest, a good friend invited me over because she had some great news. Immediately thinking she was either getting hitched or with child, I was ready to shower her with celebration.
When I walked into her place, displayed on her coffee table like it was the crown jewels was My Marc Jacobs bag. My jaw dropped as I bolted to my new baby and caressed it with love like it was my newborn child.
At the end of the day it is a fake $50 Marc Jacobs bag from Chinese eBay but I love it like it was given to me from Mr Jacobs’ very own hands. Fake or not I am now rocking a handbag that makes me feel ridiculously cool. As they say, it’s the small things in life.
