Kylie Dominates Burswood Dome
Wednesday night our pop princess Kylie, graced the stage at Burswood and had everyone in ore of what she could do. From her voice to her dancing, her costumes to her audience incorporation you couldn't fault the diva in any way. But you could however upstage her just like these two did.
A guy dressed as what looked to be a surf life saving chicken, got down on one knew an proposed to his partner of nine years and they entire crowd was blown away including Kylie. If you saw any online articles over the last few days or page 2 of The West today you will know what I'm talking about - possible one of the greatest proposals of all time. Except for maybe this one.
Incredible right? If I find a man willing to put this much effort in I'm done. Anyway, back to the actual show. Kylie was on stage for over two hours, with multiple costume changes. At one point she graced the stage with what looked like a gold encrusted shower cap which only she could pull off. It was just incredible. I'll admit Kylie is not the CD I put on when chilling out at home but she really caught me this time round. She is like a fine wine that gets better with age. First up, the rotating stage during "Slow" blew me away. One minute the dancers looked normal the next they were on they're sides and must have been connected to a harness of some sort. She busted out a good mixture of old and new, but I think it's safe to say this show stopper were, "Can't get you out of my head" and "better the Devil you know." She even did a rendition of Eurythmics - Angel. A friend of mine saw her in sydney and captured an amazing video of this track which has had many, many hits on youtube check this out.
To finish an amazing evening Kylie broke out her encore "All the Lovers" and at the same time came the water display. Everyone in the splash zone were warned about this and I don't think they really knew what was coming there way. Especially when it came to the dancers. Both male and female dancers were incredibly good looking. All in all the pop princess did not disappoint in the slightest. It was the last show of her Aphrodite tour and it went off. For the best pictures going around from the night hit up our Kylie Gallery.
The Vines: Change of Date
Ok, so it was an absolute shame that we had to postpone The Vines gig until next Wednesday but, that means I wouldn't have been able to go to Kylie so it's a win - win situation. As an announcer you need to learn to be versatile in your music tolerance, and it doesn't get more different than Kylie vs The Vines. Completely different dynamic.
