What's on in September Perth?
The sun is hanging out more often and flowers are starting to spring up everywhere, it's all the tease of summer and what does Perth do best? Summer Festivals!
Parklife is the first one off the rank hitting us towards the end of the month, Sunday 25th September, but, if you know how to do festivals right you know you need to warm up first.
So, let's look at who's hitting Perth this month.
Sparkadia - The Mary Tour - 1st, 2nd & 3rd September
These guys have played at some of the biggest festivals in the world like Glastonbury, Big Day Out and V Fest so they know how it's done. They caught our attention with their first album, Postcards' and have just realised their second one, "The Great Impression." They're arty, indi and take you somewhere. It's brilliance from Sydney. Regurgitator - Annual Sail Tour 2011 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th September
These guys have just released their new album (August 5) "Superhappyfuntimesfriends" and it'svery quirky name but describes their sound perfectly. It's fun and naive and different to their older stuff. One of their most popular tracks being "Polyester Girl." Event Info
As one half of Grammy winning duo Outkast, he has sold more than 25 million albums and let the world know the importance of Southern Rap and now he is coming to Perth. If you're looking for a weekend of Comedy, Film and Music it doesn't get much better than this. In previous years it has helped launch many careers for comedians and just been an all round dam good weekend. Friends, rent out a house, $160 for a ticket and two days of entertainment, sun and feeding Quokas! How can you beat that? Nova's own Joel Creasy performed there in 2009. Event Info
I don't think I need to remind you who this amazing artist is. She features on Goyte's number one song according to the itunes downloads, 4 weeks running, "Somebody That I use to Know." She's originally from New Zealand but has grown up in Melbourne so we are claiming this one. I've had the chance to see her live at work and live at Meredith Music Festival in Melbourne and each time she is electric and hypnotising. Event Info
