Celebs such as Sir Ian McKellen and Josh Thomas support Equal Love. Nova's Top Ten team signed up today too.
Over this May weekend, there's a huge event on the Equal Love calendar. All over Oz, a national day of action for same-sex marriage kicks off. We're talking rallys, celebrity speeches and thousands of supporters coming together to demand that the federal government remove discrimination from the Marriage Act.
Hundreds of same-sex couples also take the opportunity to publicly proclaim their love for one another in public ceremonies. This year Equal Love plan to set a new world record – for the largest mass illegal wedding ever.
Celebrities behind the cause are Sir Ian McKellen, Talkin' Bout Your Generation's Josh Thomas, Tegan and Sara and our very own Nova Top Ten.
You can sign the same-sex petiton here. Just like Nova's Top Ten did!
