New Taylor Swift single on track to break download records
Taylor Swift's super catchy new single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", is on track to break digital sales records just two days after being released.
The tune, which is the first taste of upcoming album Red, is already amongst the 40 most played tunes on US radio and is at the top of the iTunes chart in 25 countries, including Australia, Canada, the US and Brazil.
It's poised for a record digital sales debut on next week's Billboard chart, with an estimated 450,000 to 500,000 copies expected to sell by the end of this week.
If it does surpass hit those numbers, "We Are Never..." will mark the biggest debut for a digital song by a female artist since Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" sold 448,000 downloads in February 2011.
