It appears that one-hit-wonders from the 80s have a far longer lifespan than anyone could have predicted.
According to a report in the Rolling Stone, the sound of No Doubt's upcoming delivery is going to be heavily influenced by music from 80's, particularly one-hit wonders.
The frontwoman of one of the world's greatest ska-punk bands of all time, Gwen Stefani, says the band's gone back in time, and has discovered some true nuggets.
"The last few weeks we've been listening to the worst of the 80's, in the sense of bad but good," she told the Rolling Stone. "Pop songs, one-hit wonders, nifty songs, things like that. You just go back and find things that you love, and try to figure out how they made them."
No Doubt reformed in '08. The band's currently working on its first album since 2001's Rock Steady.
