Paramore face lawsuit from unknown band for song rip-off
A little-known band called Tenspoke Indies is taking on Paramore with a lawsuit which claims the supergroup plagiarised one of their songs.
According to a suit filed with the US District Court in Pennsylvania, Tenspoke Indies allege Paramore's hit "The Only Exception" rips-off parts of their track "Starlighter". They are suing Paramore for copyright infringement "including but not limited to, similarities in the introductions, arrangements, the chord progression, the key, the melody, the lyrical theme, the rhythm and tempo of both songs."
Further fuelling the fire, Tenspoke Indies claim they sent the track to Paramore's label, Fueled By Ramen, back in 2006.
