Paris Hilton could ditch her lame "it wasn't my purse/I thought it was gum" excuse in her cocaine case to avoid jail.
The heiress has been offered a plea bargain to stay out of the slammer, but to take it she'll have to plead guilty to two charges.
If she's to avoid the stripey pyjamas she'll have to tell a court she's guilty of a drugs charge and of lying to a police officer.
She's scheduled to appear before a Las Vegas court on October 27 where she has been charged with felony cocaine possession.
This deal looks like a good way to avoid a stay behind bars, which sent Paris over the edge a few years back when she served time for violating probation.
If she doesn't take the deal she could face up to one year in jail.
Wonder if she still mistakes cocaine for gum?
