Public vs Private Schools Debate - Which is Better?

25th October - Hughesy and Kate re-opened the Public vs Private debate today ater hearing about a State School principal of Melbourne's Girls College named Judy Crowe who ripped into the Private School's in Melbourne and their extravagant spending. She stated 'I feel sad when I interact with families who feel obliged to pay huge school fees, because they have been sold the story that such schools as our neighbour (Methodist Ladie's College) will provide so much more for their children'. Is she saying Private Schools are a con?

Where do you stand? Do Private School's offer more for kids? Or is the Public School system the way to go?

17th May - So on this mornings show, Hughesy was talking about how his Personal Trainer told him something he found shocking. He revealed to Hughesy that kids who come through Public Schools have far more mental toughness than kids who come through Private Schools.

It was a highly contentious call, but one that Hughesy kind of agreed with.

Well it got a the phones ringing mad with people who had played footy for their Private Schools and thought it was an absolute crock to footy coaches who agreed because they had to run courses on how to harden up Private School kids. Arguements raged and there wasn't enough time to hear from everybody. It m,ad sports reporters furious and somehow got Roberta Williams involved too calling Public School kids sooks!
