Red Hot Chili Peppers touring Oz in 2013, releasing 18 new songs
Things have been busy in the Red Hot Chili Peppers camp, with the recent announcement that they'll release 18 new songs over the next six months and a hint of a 2013 Australian tour.
All of this news comes from tweet-happy bassist Flea, who took to the internet to share the news.
"We have been writing stuff while touring. We are also going to put out 18 new songs over the next 6 months on 7 inch and digitally," he wrote.
The group has been busy touring their latest album, I'm With You, and it sounds like they'll be bringing that tour to our shores next year.
In a Twitter Q&A session with fans, Flea answered an enquiry about when RHCP may be heading back down under. He tweeted, "yes, we are coming to australia early next year, can't wait to feel the connection to my birthplace once again". Flea was born in Melbourne in 1962.
