As the fall-out from Ricky Gervais' hilariously controversial hosting gig at the Golden Globes continues, he's been photographed showing off his own golden globes.
Ellen DeGeneres Tweeted this photo of the funnyman wearing a pair of golden boxer shorts she gave him before the ceremony.
With the caption, "Please enjoy this photo of Ricky Gervais in my underwear", it's just one of a handful of positive things written about him in the past 24 hours.
Following his risque attack on Hollywood's A-list on Sunday night, Gervais has been the industry's newest outcast, attacked by press around the US.
But in his native Britain and here in Australia, he's been applauded for proving once again the Yanks have no sense of humour.
Gervais yesterday took to his blog to clear up a few rumours about the hosting gig, including that he was pulled off-stage in the middle of the show.
"All the same conspiracy theories as last year too...'So and so was offended'...'hasn't been invited back yet'...exactly the same as last time. 'Paul McCartney was furious'...no he wasn't. And nor was Tim Allen and Tom Hanks. I was drinking with them after," he wrote.
"Why do people have to embellish? They're allowed to say they hated it. They're allowed to say they didn't find it funny, that it was tasteless, over the top, or whatever. But why do they speculate and make stuff up?"
