Rihanna denies Whitney Houston biopic rumours

Several months ago the hot gossip was that Rihanna had been shortlisted to play the late Whitney Houston in a biopic, but the singer has dispelled the rumour.

Though the rumours have already been dispelled by a representative for Houston, who said there was "no truth" to them, Rihanna herself has now also confirmed that it's not happening.

She said to MTV News, "I never heard anything about that," but continued to call "I Will Always Love You" her favourite song of all time and cited it as her inspiration to start a career in music.

Rihanna most recently made her screen debut in Battleship, and is tapped to play a villain role in the next instalment in the Fast and the Furious film franchise.
