He makes the ladies crazy playing brooding vampire character Edward, but Robert Pattinson used to wish he was a rapper.
The Twilight superstar confessed in an Oprah special yesterday that he once wanted to be the next Jay-Z.
"I used to want to be a rapper when I was, like, 14," he said.
Appearing on the much-anticipated special with co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, the British actor said he practised his American accent by watching US movies.
"But Kristen thinks I do the most terrible American accent," he joked.
"No, no I don't," Stewart laughed in response. "Occasionally, some word will come out, and I'll be like, 'We don't say that!'"
Pattinson said he doesn't have a problem with screaming fans: "It's a great position to be in, because you can walk into a room and everybody's screaming.
"It's not really about you. So it never really goes to your head, and you can kind of participate in it. It's about the fans themselves."
