Katy Perry is doing her best impersonation of a virginial Indian bride ahead of her wedding with Russell Brand, wearing a traditional nasal ring upon arriving in the country.
The superstar couple are expected to wed in Jaipur on Saturday in a lavish ceremony at Ramburgh Palace where Brand popped the question on New Year's Eve.
They were seen jetting into the Indian city yesterday with Katy wearing a nath - a traditional nose ring attached by a gold chain to a woman's hair above her ear.
The nath is meant to be worn throughout the wedding day, with the groom removing it on the wedding night as a symbol of the woman's virginity ending.
Having tamed notorious pants man Brand, perhaps this is Katy's attempt to be a born-again virgin?
Around 85 people are expected at the nuptials including Rihanna, David Walliams and Jonathan Ross. Guests have already started arriving.
Reports suggest there will be five parties in the lead up to the big event and that guests will be taken on a safari.
Rihanna is to be Katy's maid-of-honour and P Diddy is expected to perform, while Katy will apparently dress in traditional Indian bridal gear with Henna-ed hands.
Brand has said the wedding won't be a circus.
"It will have a first dance, it will have all of them things, like anything else," he has said.
"It's no more interesting or no less spectacular than any marriage of anybody, so it's very beautiful and incredible and wonderful, but it's also utterly mundane."
With Rihanna and P Diddy at the party, we're betting it will be anything but mundane.
