Russell Brand emails Katy Perry saying divorce was "biggest mistake"

The Daily Mail reports that Brand is "seething with jealousy" over his ex-wife's alleged new relationship with Robert Ackroyd, guitarist of Florence + The Machine.

Brand and Perry divorced in December 2011, with Brand citing "irreconcilable differences".

It's reported that the 36-year-old British comedian sent 27-year-old Perry an email, asking for a second chance and calling the decision to end their 14-month marriage a "mistake".

A source said, "It's fair to say that Russell only wishes Katy happiness but perhaps he should have realised just how special his wife was when he was married to her rather than five months later."

Brand recently acted out at an audience member at a New Jersey show, who yelled out "Katy Perry" during the performance. An audience member told Life and Style, "Russell lost it. He actually climbed down off the stage, made the crew turn the house lights up and told the audience to point the guy out."
