Russell Brand meets the Dalai Lama… and talks about sex (obvs)

The actor and the Buddhist spiritual leader were hosting a talk together (again, that’s something we never thought we’d see/hear) for the under 25’s called “Stand Up & Be The Change.”

Predictably Russell kicked off the talk in Manchester by making a quip about his formerly ravenous sex life, though thankfully he restrained from making reference about his ball bags.

“Some of you might be surprised to see me here. I’ve gone from being Shagger of the Year three times to introducing the Dalai Lama” said Russ.

"It has certainly been an interesting journey. The Dalai Lama told me ‘We are all just people’ and I’ve taken that on board as I was very nervous meeting him.”

The Dalai Llama – who’s touring the UK at the moment to spread his message about all things good – chuckled at the comedian’s joke and said:

“Some people told me before to listen to this strange person’s explanations. I was surprised but I think your openness is wonderful.”

Not sure Katy Perry would agree with him about that.
