Forget their plans for ridiculously good looking children, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have split after just two years of marriage.
The celebrity couple said they were ending their relationship with "kindness" after marrying outside of Vancouver in September 2008.
"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage," they said in a statement.
"We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
As recently as November, tabloids were speculating that the pair were having marital problems caused by their hectic schedules.
Reynolds surprised many when he didn't make a cameo as Johansson was hosting Saturday Night Live last month, when she did when he hosted it back in 2009.
But Reynolds was seen out and about in Los Angeles as the show was being taped, only flying back to New York for his wife's birthday.
Reynolds, 34, and Johansson, 26, met in 2007 and this year were proclaimed Babe of the Year and Sexiest Man Alive.
