Cohen made worldwide headlines after he - dress as General Aladeen from The Dictator - poured the ashes over Seacrest on the red carpet, but now he's extended an olive branch, apologizing to the TV host as a recent taping of Saturday Night Live.
"He comes off stage and comes over to me. He breaks character and says, ‘Sorry about the Oscars. It wasn’t personal,'" Seacrest explained.
"He was very, very apologetic and genuine. He was still wearing The Dictator stuff so it was strangely ironic, but then he started to tell me how it all went down."
Seacrest went on to explain that the ashes were intended for George Clooney, but Cohen had a change of heart (as Clooney was expected to win big on the night) and took aim at Seacrest instead.

The Dictator will be released on May 16.
