Ryan Gosling has added more fuel to the raging rumour inferno that suggests he's dating Michelle Williams - claiming their Blue Valentine sex scene felt real.
So real in fact, the pair had a mountain of trouble moving from a married couple to single co-stars when cameras stopped rolling.
"Most movies when you're acting you're trying to block out the lights and the trailers. Here, you had to remind yourself you were making a film," he said.
"Michelle and I found it hard to take off our wedding bands when it was over. We'd built this castle and then had to tear it down."
The pair's convincing chemistry playing a married couple facing the end of their marriage has given birth to rumours they're dating on the side.
So far both have denied it, with Gosling telling Ellen DeGeneres just days ago he was cycling faster to get away from her questions on his love life. Ellen was interviewing Gosling on a stationary fitness bike.
"You and Michelle are a very cute couple and, as I said, I like you. I like her. So I like you individually. I like you as a couple. I don't know if you're a couple. You're being cagey about it. I know that. If you're a couple, I'm all for it," Ellen said.
"Wait, you're pedaling faster. What's happening?" she asked.
"I'm trying to get away from this conversation," joked Gosling.
What probably piqued Ellen's attention was a very real-lif oral sex scene Gosling and Williams share in Blue Valentine. It was so saucy it almost resulted in the film being given a more adult rating.
"The sex felt real - it wasn't sexy or a 'sex scene', and that's why we got into trouble. You shouldn't be penalised for doing a good job," he said.
Don't worry Ryan, there are plenty of women who would reward you for doing a good job at that.
