Collingwood legend Bryan ‘Strauchanie’ Strauchan and St Kilda tragic Molly Meldrum have found omens ahead of Saturday’s AFL Grand Final between the Pies and the Saints.
Like all massive footy fans they need to find that special sign that means their team is going to win.
They both joined Hughesy and Kate on Nova 100 this morning (listen in here), and after trading insults, they shared these omens...
MOLLY’S OMEN FOR ST KILDA
"In 1966 we won the Grand Final but the year before we lost the Grand Final to Essendon. Of course this year we’re in the Grand Final after losing last year to Geelong. It’s been 44 years since our last premiership and (coach) Ross Lyon is 44 years old and 44 is on Stephen Milne’s jumper who will hopefully play a big part in this…… so, gawd, let’s hope!"
STRAUCHANIE’S OMEN FOR COLLINGWOOD
"This is the biggest omen of all time. St Kilda won their last premiership 44 years ago. When Collingwood last won the premiership, guess who had the first kick? Shane Kerrison, number 44. And Shane Kerrison has red hair. Guess who else has red hair who won a big thing in Australia this year? Julia Gillard. Thank you very much. Collingwood by ten goals. Strauchanieeeee"
