After taking some of the world’s finest DJs on a massive dance blitz across the nation, Australia’s annual string of giant electro festivals -- Summadayze and Summanights -- is wrapping up tomorrow on the Gold Coast.
Summafielddayze will showcase the same great talents that have already helped thouands of revellers welcome in the new year and start 2010 with a bang.
Headliners hitting hit the decks tomorrow at Doug Jennings Park at Main Beach will include Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Sharam, Infected Mushroom, Eddie Halliwell, 2ManyDJs, The Presets, Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters plus plenty of other hot artists.
Summadayze has been an integral part of Aussie new year celebrations since 1999 when a few thousand die-hard revelers hit Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl to dance in the new year. Summadayze quickly grew into a world-famous event, and as each year has passed, the 12-hour dance music celebration has attracted bigger international DJ lineups, bigger production budgets, and bigger crowds.
For the last seven years, Summadayze has rocked Brisbane’s EDM community to its core, for the last four years, Perth’s electronic faithful have danced the day away, and this year, the event debuted in Adelaide and Sydney. The Summadayze juggernaut is finally complete … Bring on 2011!
