Hip hop superstar Usher has revealed that "a few conversations" took place with producer Salaam Remi in regards to collaborating with the late Amy Winehouse, but they never came to fruition.
The singer told MTV News, "There was a few conversations that took place, but we never quite made it to it. I would have loved it. It could have been one of the most incredible records ever. A voice like that comes once in a lifetime.''
He also invited the "Rehab" singer to a show but never ended up meeting with her: "'Before you know it we talked and exchanged information and I invited her to a show and she didn't come."
Usher's latest album, Looking 4 Myself, has just been released.
