Reality television has come a long way since we used to watch people pop pimples on Big Brother. Since then we've watched farmers get hitched, celebrities learn to dance and now kids upstage adults in the kitchen.
But what are our old time bestest reality television stars up to?
Well, we asked them when they stopped by the Ryan, Monty and Wippa reality television reunion!
Alana, Temptation Island: A kindy teacher these days, Alana is nothing like the villain and vixen she was made out to be when she cheated on boyfriend Warren on Temptation Island. She says she was 22 when she filmed the show and has grown up a lot. In fact, she's got a new man named Adam and they're renovating a place together! She met him through former co-star Cassie who she names as her bestie along with Liana from the show.
Adro, The Biggest Loser: The first ever winner of Australia's Biggest Loser, Adro has been "paying it forward" ever since. He's got a weight loss retreat on the Mornington Penninsula that has seen 280 obese people lost 2700kgs at. He says people still peek in his shopping trolley to check if he's eating healthy.
Igor, Big Brother: Alana could probably use the services of Igor these days, since he's a tiler now. Married last year, he wed a woman who claims she knew she was going to marry him the moment she saw him on the telly. It took her six months to track him down after he was evicted, but she got her wish. They're thinking babies, although Igor is eager to return to the BB house. "You know how to do it the second time around," he said.
Vesna, Big Brother: Having lost 13kgs since March, Vesna is in talks to become the face of a mystery weight loss brand. She's desperate to get back on BB but reckons she'd settle for a radio career. Until then, she's selling ads for Leader Community Newspapers in Melbourne.
Susannah, Big Brother: A fashion obsesee, Susannah has a blog and is trying for a media career. She's in training to be a television host at an Aussie network and is about to shoot her 16th cover for Zoo Weekly. She's dating former BB housemate Thomas.
Thomas, Big Brother: Joking he needs three jobs to pay for Susannah's shoe addiction, Thomas actually hold property investment seminars to make other people rich. He hooked up with Susannah hours after leaving the BB house, despite both saying they weren't into each other in front of cameras. They now live together with a Biggest Loser contestant.
Gav and Waz, The Block: These days the boys live on a farm with 30 cows in Northern New South Wales, where they have forged a successful interior design business. They say the refused the perks of D-list stardom to build a credible reputation. It seems to have paid off as they're regularly quoted in some pretty reputable publications. Oh, and they can't face watching the new The Block.
