It's game on from here onwards for my first marathon.
We’ve got from now till July 3 and 4 to train our arses off and then fully run our arses off in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon.
I’m pumped about the location, I love the Gold Coast and running along the Broadwater and the beaches it’s gonna be unreal.
I started training on Tuesday - I ran 12kms which I thought was easy but when I think about it that’s not even a third of a marathon.
Wow! This Saturday arvo I’m running 25kms. It really sucks training on the weekends because on my run I go past the Story Bridge Hotel, The Eagle Street Pier and NewFarm Park and the food smells sooooo good and everyone has a beer!
Every time I run past I wonder what the hell I am doing.
So Tuesday I run from Nova in Teneriffe along the river to the Story Bridge and back which is about 12kms.
Thursday I’ll do hill sprints in Bulimba/Hawthorne and on the weekend I’ll add two or 3kms to my 25k run until I hit 35ks.

You can do the full marathon, half marathon, 10kms or 5km walk or run.
