Woman sues Justin Bieber for hearing damage from screaming fans
Justin Bieber has been sued by a woman who claims that a concert of his in 2010 has left her with tinnitus that makes it difficult to sleep.
Stacey Wilson Betts, who took her daughter to a show by the teen sensation, is suing the Biebs for $9.23 million, saying that her hearing was permanently damaged by the screaming of fans.
The lawsuit says that Bieber entered a "heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola", creating a "wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."
Bieber, his record label, the concert venue and promoter are all named in the suit.
