Green Lantern's, thanks to a trusty ring, can create whatever they imagine...pity the filmmakers didn't have one on set.
Maybe fifteen years ago, before the more serious Batman movies, before Spider-Man and X-Men...this shit would've flown. Not today.
As camp or ridiculous as they may be, you can't just phone in a superhero movie anymore. A solid script and story sacrificed for more action and special effects just don't cut it anymore.
Sadly, Ryan Reynolds and a budget of over $200M can't save Green Lantern from falling waaaaaaay short of it's current competition.
