Jessica Mauboy hanging out with Simon Cowell

Jessica Mauboy is unstoppable in Australia but it turns out it's not just us that's noticing the good things from this young lady with Simon Cowell watching her career from a far. After wrapping up a meeting with the American Idol judge (amongst things) Jessica Mauboy could about to get a boost from the media mogul.

"It was really about him getting to know me". Mauboy told Nova FM's Smallzy (Smallzy's Surgery). "He had heard about the song "Gotcha". We did a bit of a presentation, not an official presentation; played the video, played the song. He had heard about the film The Sapphires and I guess he wanted to know a little bit more about that." she said.

There's one thing to be invited for a meeting but it's another to get invited to his house. "I was completely nervous". said Mauboy. "I was even telling my manager to get out the car first, I was like no you get out, and he was like no lets get out together. No you get out first" she laughed.

Following her career, Cowell wants to make her big and take her world wide. "I guess that was the whole meeting, I guess I'm already part of his family (coming from Idol)". said Mauboy 

What's next for Jessica Mauboy? I guess we'll have to watch this space.
