Jason Scott Mesnick is the runner-up on Season 4 of The Bachelorette and the Bachelor of the 13th season of the reality dating show The Bachelor.
Mesnick is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, but moved to Washington at the age of eight. He received his BA in psychology at the University of Washington, and now resides in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland.
Mesnick is a business development manager for the travel company Down Under Answers, and is a "big brother" for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America.
He dated DeAnna Pappas on The Bachelorette and was one of the final two suitors, even bending his knee to propose in the final rose ceremony before DeAnna stopped him. Instead Pappas chose Jesse Csincsak. Mesnick was chosen to be the next Bachelor, however, and he said that he did find love on ABC’s reality dating series. The Bachelor Mesnick said “I found exactly what I was hoping for, what I was looking for. I’m completely in love.”
He proposed to Melissa Rycroft, a 27 year old Dallas native and former squad member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
