The Milkmen Short Biography
The Milkmen are a three piece band based in Perth Western Australia. Their genre is very debatable as they don't fit into just one style. Formed in 2006 by Conor Mcloughln and Elliot Careswell as a TAFE project they became complete after finding their new drummer, Jonathan Riviere in 2008. They take influences from artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Glen Hansard, Kings of Leon, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, The Kooks, Kasabian and many more. The Milkmen have been called many styles from acoustic groove rock to blues and roots to melodic lyrical rock or even new acoustic. But since Conor started playing clean and distorted electric guitar on some songs they can't just be called acoustic anymore as every song is a different style to the next.
Conor Mcloughlin (23) is the Front man, he plays acoustic and electric guitar and he is the lead vocalist. He was born in Milton Keynes, England and moved to Australia in 1998.
Elliot Careswell (22) is the bass player and backing vocalist. He was born in Manchester, England and moved to Australia in 1996.
Jonathan Riviere (26) is the drummer, percussionist and also does some backing vocals. He was born in Paris, France and moved to Australia in 2007.
The Milkmen have been playing gigs mostly around Perth and Fremantle and also made it out to country towns across the South Western Australia such as Margaret River, Pinjarra, Gnowangarup and Moora to name a few. They are very keen to get a tour together and show Australia what they can do.
