Rumours are rife that Katy Perry and John Mayer are planning to say "I do", with ideas for a wedding in the works.
Last week the couple sparked chatter of engagement after Perry was spotted wearing a ruby ring on Valentine's Day, which was later said to be a commitment ring to celebrate moving in together.
Now, speculation is circulating that the couple plans to tie the knot in a low key ceremony.
A source told Grazia, “Katy and John want to have a really intimate traditional ceremony with only their closest friends and family. They’re both from fairly traditional families and don’t want a big party.
"They had so much fun when they visited her hometown that Katy and John have both agreed it would make sense to do it there. They loved San Ysidro because it’s so private and peaceful with amazing scenery.”
This would be the first marriage for Mayer, while Perry was previously wed to British comedian Russell Brand.
The source described Perry and Mayer's relationship was "very serious" and said, “Katy always swore she wouldn’t rush into marriage again, but they get on so well and she really thinks he’s changed. His friends can’t believe how much she has tamed him, and Katy’s parents absolutely adore him.”
