The Bachelorette star Pascal Wallace has come out swinging against the show, claiming his exit on the series was a bunch of BS, essentially.
During Thursday night’s episode, the 33-year-old was accused of saying he wished they’d [show creators] “picked better-looking girls”. He was of course promptly booted by Elly and Becky despite ardent claims he never said such a thing.
“The comment Aggie said I made about the girls not being hot enough simply just didn’t happen,” he said at the time.
He also referenced this claim – adding a show editing blame in for good measure – in his Instagram caption for a series of Stories attempting to clear the air:
“Ahhhh what an edit, I’m an easy target what can i [sic] say, not who I am. Thanks for the experience @channel10au and sorry to the girls if what I apparently said made you feel anything negative, never my intention. Spread love not hate ✌️🙏🏽 good luck, hope you both find love @ellymiles and @happylittlebeckymite.”
“I feel like I need to defend my position, it’s not how I feel about the girls and the way I am going to be portrayed on national television is not who I am as a person,” he said in his first Instagram Story.
“Elly and Becky were fun, beautiful girls, wholesome, good to be around, which is how I always felt,” he explained, adding that he simply didn’t feel that “spark” of connection.
Pascal went on to say he felt “betrayed” but admitted he did talk about “the kissing” as he put it, seemingly forgetting he is on a mass-dating reality TV series.
“Of course I talked about the kissing [of other blokes]. It’s the weirdest experience ” he said.
Pascal then explained that what we saw on TV as the reason for his departure was actually fabricated and that he and Harry both dislocated their shoulders during a date, prompting them to re-evaluate their decisions to stay.
Yeah, worth a watch this one.
