Social Media Slams SAS Australia's Arabella Del Busso For 'White Lies' Claim

CW: This article discusses pregnancy loss.

We’re two episodes into our first run of SAS Australia and damnit we’re hooked. Between the beastings aka challenges, VWs (Voluntary Withdrawals) and interrogations, we’re happier than a pig in mud. Viscous, reality TV-laden mud.

Tuesday’s second episode saw Schapelle Corby VW her way out of the series followed by Arabella Del Busso who faced a rough interrogation after staff caught wind of her many controversies.

“She’s apparently used 10 known aliases, false cancer treatment… digitally altered photos of herself to appear pregnant,” they read aloud while doing research.

“A lot of people think I’m an evil con artist. Don’t get me wrong, I have told lies throughout my life but I want people to know I’m not this evil person the media are portraying as,” Arabella Del Busso explained on SAS Australia.

“My ex-partner was an NRL player [Josh Reynolds.]. And we separated late last year. But now since then I’ve faced scrutiny in the media … That I’m a liar. I told my partner that I had a pregnancy scan. And I showed it to him and said it was ours when in fact it wasn’t a scan at all. Our relationship was coming to an end and I didn’t know how to deal with losing someone.”

“I have told a lie but the way that I see it, is not going to hurt anyone. I’m sure we all do it. I’m honestly not the only person here or there,” Arabella said in a piece to camera.

Twitter quickly fired back at Arabella Del Busso’s claims her fake pregnancies were “white lies”:

The interrogation comes after Arabella and ex Josh Reynolds participated in a 60 Minutes special in May of this year to discuss the fake pregnancies, the majority of which she claims to have lost due to miscarriage.

In the special, Reynolds reveals how he thought things were a “bit fishy” when he asked to see ultrasound scans:

“The scans she sent me, something was off,” Reynolds told 60 Minutes.

Reynolds also claimed Arabella Del Busso doctored photos, and even injected herself with IVF fertility drugs to make herself look pregnant.

And, proving that SAS Australia is the gift that keeps on giving, Candice Warner, contestant, wife of cricketer David Warner and bada** in her own right, has done the media rounds, spilling the beans to podcast, Powerful Stories with Tory Archbold. Check it out here.

SAS Australia returns Monday at 7:30pm on Seven.
